Way back in May, Mike and Austin attended our ward's Father & Sons Campout. I advised Mike to bring Austin back in the same condition he left. Mike cooked mac and cheese for dinner. Austin's good friend Crew came with his daddy. Austin helped set up the tent and slept very well. Mike on the other hand was up all night checking to make sure Austin was breathing, warm enough and not wet. Mike worried about Austin falling into the outhouse toilet as Austin is so skinny and the hole so deep Mike would be unable to retrieve him. I lay awake 'til 2:00 or 3:00 in the morning wondering about all the peril that may befall a 2 year old on a camping trip without his mother. Falling into the outhouse hole was not one of them. It will be next year. And yes, they had such a good time there will be a next year.

Such adventure and those adventures are just starting. Good that worrying helps - nothing bad happened!
ReplyDeleteBy next year he'll be standing to use the outhouse. You'll have to think of something else to worry about.
ReplyDeleteThat is so funny. I'm glad Austin survived and other than a lack of sleep, so did his parents.
